SPECIAL NEEDS

In an effort to better serve guests with physical disabilities and/or limited mobility, the Science of the Soul Study Centers in the USA have developed Special Needs Passes to permit access to a limited number of special parking spaces and/or to the Special Needs seating areas.

Special Needs drop off, transportation and seating

  1. Special Needs guests should enter through Gate C at the back of the property (Manning Drive) and show the sevadars your Special Needs Parking Pass (hanging from your visor) which will allow you to be dropped off at Entrance 1.
  2. Special Needs guests not having a Parking Pass can show their Special Needs Access Card. You should request to be dropped off at Entrance 1 ONLY if really necessary (cannot walk without using a walker, cane, crutches, wheelchair, etc.). There will be vans in every parking lot to bring Special Needs guests to Entrance 1. This will speed up the transition to the hall.
  3. Once at the hall, wheelchair transport (for those who are unsteady walking) is available from Entrance 1 to a regular seat upon request. These wheelchairs are for transport into the hall only.
  4. If you need to sit in a wheelchair or cannot walk, you must rent or bring your own wheelchair or mobility device to the site. The Center has no devices to loan. Businesses that rent wheelchairs are listed below.
  5. There will be spaces in the hall set aside for those bringing their own wheelchair, scooter or walker. Companions will be seated nearby.
  6. Guests must have government issued Handicapped Stickers (or placards) to park in Handicapped spaces: show your placard to the parking sevadars, who will direct you.
  7. There will be an Audio Enhancement Area for those who are hearing impaired. This service will be available on a first come, first served basis.
  8. There will be a larger area for those who want simultaneous translation from Punjabi/Hindi to English and from English to Spanish. Both will be available on a first come, first served basis.
  9. Special Needs seating areas are not in the front of the hall.
